Four hypotheses are given, the confirmation or refutation of which will be shown by the results of the study. Correlation test was applied for the hypotheses. It sheds light on the cultural importance of cuisine by examining its nutritional characteristics and importance. Slow Food emphasises the importance of preserving local culinary cultures and traditional agricultural practices. Individuals' travel preferences have shifted toward domestic tourism and outdoor settings that they deem reliable, with the relaxation of enforced limits and restrictions and their removal over time. Travel after the pandemic has revealed a phenomenon called “revenge tourism”, which is combined with the desire of people to compensate for the holidays they have lost. The psychological tension, pressure, and distancing from the daily routine experienced by individuals due to Covid -19 have given rise to this trend. Since the person engaging in revenge tourism behaves in a way that indicates a willingness to spend more money and stay longer, this form of travel will be crucial for capturing pre-pandemic global tourism data. In this study, international articles, papers, book chapters, and research notes written in the academic field were examined by systematic review method in order to examine revenge tourism more closely. 31 publications that can be accessed from the Web of Science, Scopus, and Google Scholar databases and written in English were evaluated. In line with the articles examined; it was determined that negative emotions such as exhaustion, anxiety, and fear caused by the epidemic triggered revenge tourism, and destination preferences shifted towards nature and open-air areas.</p> Didem Kutlu ##submission.copyrightStatement## 2023-09-29 2023-09-29 3 2 38 52 Quality Perception and Satisfaction Levels of Customers on e-Services of Holiday Websites http://temapor.com/index.php/tema/article/view/42 <p>This research aims to explore how different demographic factors affect customers' perceptions of quality and satisfaction with electronic holiday websites. A survey was conducted and 392 participants provided data. Factor analysis identified three factors of customer perception: ' informative', 'secure' and 'quality'. In general, participants perceived the quality of holiday websites positively. When examining the effect of demographic factors on quality perception and satisfaction, it can be concluded that gender, age, education and marital status do not make a statistically significant difference. However, it was observed that customer satisfaction with holiday websites varied according to monthly income. This contrast was particularly evident between low and high income respondents. In particular, those with higher incomes reported lower perceptions of the quality of holiday websites.</p> Halil İbrahim Karakan ##submission.copyrightStatement## 2023-09-30 2023-09-30 3 2 53 63 Small Game and Big Game Preferences of Hunters in Turkey in Their Hunting Activities http://temapor.com/index.php/tema/article/view/36 <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>Hunting tourism varies nationally according to the habitats of game animals.</div> <div>For example, while grouse hunting is carried out in forests with tall trees in</div> <div>Russia and Scandinavian countries, in countries with steep cliffs such as</div> <div>Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, partridge hunting is carried out within the</div> <div>scope of hunting tourism.</div> <div>Since the east of Turkey has different geographical shapes as steppe and</div> <div>forest in the west, the habitat of game animals also differs. While this movement is accepted as a resistance against the speed and homogenization brought by the modern world, it also stands out as an important source of inspiration for the food system of the future. As a platform between local food producers, cooks, environmentalists and food enthusiasts, Slow Food is committed to preserving cultural diversity and local flavors. The rich historical features and traditional food culture of Sille Village, which is one of the important touristic regions of Turkey, makes the village attractive both historically and gastronomically. The interaction between the principles of the Slow Food movement and the history, cultural heritage, tourist attraction and food culture of Sille Village both emphasizes the importance of sustainable tourism and reveals the positive effects of the preservation of cultural heritage on food culture. In this article, how the deep cultural roots and unique food culture of Sille Village are combined with the basic principles of the Slow Food movement is discussed, and the relationship between these two important concepts is examined in detail. At the same time, an analysis evaluating the applicability of the Slow Food movement in Sille Village is presented.</p> Özge Arslan Yılmaz Seçim ##submission.copyrightStatement## 2023-09-30 2023-09-30 3 2 75 85 Opinions of The Kyrgyzstan Tourism Sector on The Visa Free Regime http://temapor.com/index.php/tema/article/view/43 <p>Competition in the tourism industry around the world is increasing, and some countries are actively using a visa-free policy to attract more tourists. These travelers prefer independent, flexible, and longer journeys. They act with a focus on experiential travel along with sustainable travel practices for preserving the natural environment. They especially have the desire to participate in local festivals, visit local markets, and experience local dishes and street food. The aim of this study is to determine the perceptions of backpackers, an important element of gastronomic tourism, regarding street tastes through metaphors. The participants of the study consist of 109 backpackers who are active on social media platforms such as #sirtcantaligezginler, #interrailturkiye, and #couchsurfingturkiye. The phenomenology design, a qualitative research method, was employed in the study, and the purpose and content of the study were communicated to the backpackers. The data of the study were obtained by having the participants complete the sentence "Street tastes are like ......... for me. Because ..........". The participants' responses were classified based on frequency rates using content analysis for data analysis. Furthermore, a map of the words in the texts was created using the MAXQDA program. As a result, a total of 93 metaphors and 9 categorized themes for these metaphors were identified. It was determined that the theme with the highest number of metaphors is "presenting local flavors," and among all metaphors, the most commonly mentioned metaphor is the word "rainbow."</p> Adem Ademoğlu ##submission.copyrightStatement## 2023-09-30 2023-09-30 3 2 96 106
